Yes, I know this song in English. There are those that might question a Celtic musician including such a thing in an album, but I'm not prejudiced.

There are those that claim the song was Written by Henry VIII while courting Ann. Given that you're not likely to find a bigger rogue than Henry, I think it fits. Besides, I like it.

Unfortunately, is is VERY unlikely that Henry wrote this. The style of music was supposedly unknown in England at the time. It's much more likely that the song dates form the time of Elizabeth I.

There are actually LOTS of verses. I've included a couple here that I like best, and get the story across.
